In late December, I took an incredible trip to Rome. It was my first time there. I’d heard much about the crowds, chaos and grit of Rome, but what I found was an enchanting, lively city, rich with history, thick with layers, striking awe with every turn. I was fortunate enough to be led around by two amazing guides, Paolo and Antonio (a former engineer and a former architect) with Roam Around Rome, who gave their eye-opening perspectives, as locals, and showed me a city I’ll never forget.
